Ike Taylor Had Headphones Built into his Helmet to Play Music During Games
In the final few years of his 12-year career, Steelers Cornerback Ike Taylor got an iPod Nano wired into his helmet so he could listen to music during the game.
When I heard this, I was shocked. How did you get the defensive calls? His former teammate, and my co-host on the Surf & Turf podcast, Willie Colon said Ike played under the same defensive coordinator, Dick LeBeau for all 12 seasons. He just needed a hand signal from the Linebackers to know the coverage. So he would listen to Pandora during the game with Lil’ Wayne blasting in his helmet.
What a swaggy move from the guy from Swaggin’ U.
